Ottawa Meeting 2008
September 2008 - OARA hosted its mid-year Member Meeting in Ottawa
at Arnprior/Ottawa Auto Parts and Sonshine Auto Parts.



Rethink Recycling Tour 2008
On June 19th over 50 insurers, repairers and recyclers followed a recycled part through the repair process, visiting two repairers and one recycler. The event, organized by Collision Repair Magazine, helped everyone involved better understand the challenges and opportunities of using more recycled auto parts.



2008 National Vehicle Scrappage Launch
June 2008 - At Sonshine Auto Parts in Cumberland Ontario, Federal Environment Minister John Baird presented elements of the $92 million National Vehicle Scrappage Program and Auto Recycler Code of Practice with Clean Air Foundation Executive Director Ersilia Serafini, and Automotive Recyclers of Canada Managing Director Steve Fletcher.



2008 March Convention
March 2008 - OARA hosted over 250 delegates, 30 Exhibitors, 12 Presentors at another successful Annual Convention & Trade Show in Toronto Ontario.



2007 Japan IRT
June 2007 - ARC Managing Director, Steve Fletcher, attended the 3rd International Roundtable on Auto Recycler in Tokyo Japan as part of the Canadian delegation.



September 2007 Member Meeting
September 2007 - OARA hosted its Mid-Year Meeting in Niagara Falls at Thorold Auto Parts.



2007 Insurer Tours
June 2007 - Collision Repair Magazine organized a day long tour of three auto recycling facilities (Dom's Auto Parts, Standard Auto Wreckers, Carcone's Auto Recycling) with representatives from the insurance industry.
